Accra Hearts of Oak Head coach Henry Wellington Lamptey believes his players are fully prepared for the league.
The Ghana Premier League kicks off this weekend with Hearts playing as guests of newly promoted side Techiman XI Wonders this Sunday.
Speaking in the prematch interview ahead of the league opener, coach Wellington revealed his side is ready for the first game.
“We are fully prepared for this year’s league,” Wellington told accraheartsofoaksc.com
“We started preparations a long time waiting for the league to start but thank God we are starting the league this week. So we are fully prepared but only that a few players are injured.
“But we can overcome their absence and play with the ones available [to get a result].”
The Phobians beat lower division side Unique Stars 3-1 in midweek and Wellington believes that game is an ideal preparation to face XI Wonders.
“The game was a very good preparation and I must say that game is a mirror of the game we are going to play.
“I am hoping that what transpired in that game will repeat itself on Sunday.
“Techiman XI Wonders are a newly promoted side so they will come all out to win because they are playing Hearts of Oak but we will take them by surprise.”
