I will continue to give Selasie opportunities, says Henry Lamptey

The head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Henry Wellington Lamptey insists he will continue to give youngster Selasie Bakai the chance to grow in the game.

Selasie Bakai was promoted from Auroras just before the beginning of the season and he’s handed his first start for the first team in Sunday’s league opener.

The young striker lasted 62 minutes before he’s replaced by Cosmos Dauda.

And coach Wellington is confident the youngster can make the step up.

“I saw him play in our last game against Sharks and the way I saw him, I know he can play by giving him the chance,” the gaffer told accraheartsofoaksc.com

“And that is why I gave him the chance and I will continue giving him the chance even if it is 20 or 30 minutes. He played for 60 minutes but although all I wanted him to do, he did not do all but I liked what he did.”
