Goalkeeper Evans Silvanus Gbeti has been commended by head
coach Henry Wellington Lamptey following his performance against Eleven Wonders
on Sunday, with the Hearts head coach urging the new number 1 to continue in
the same vein.
The Phobians were held to a 1-1 draw game in the opening game of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season at Techiman over the weekend.
Sparingly used keeper Gbeti was handed the nod in goal and he put up a solid performance despite conceding a goal in the game.
Head Coach Henry Lamptey has cleared him of any blame for the goal but says the keeper must continue to work hard.
“[Evans] Gbeti was fantastic today. I will not blame him for that goal,” Lamptey told accraheartsofoaksc.com
“I am not surprised with his performance because he’s one of our goalkeepers and he can keep at anytime. I must say he did very well today and he must continue like that.”
